Lowlu, a Kentish Town sauna, opens to the public
Lowlu has opened a new sauna complex in Kentish Town, located on a former parking lot near the Parliament Hill Lido. The facility features five saunas with temperatures ranging from 75°C to 95°C, alongside six ice baths set between 3°C and 15°C. Designed by Finnish architect Sami Rintala and founded by entrepreneur Tom Bacon, the site is constructed from thermally treated spruce and alder imported from Finland and Estonia. The venue accommodates up to 40 people and is open daily from 7am to 9pm.
The Kentish Town opening follows the brand's existing location in Wandsworth and is part of a wider expansion plan. Two additional sites in Ilford and Shepherd’s Bush are expected to follow later in 2026. The project is modeled on Finnish sauna culture, focusing on accessibility for a broad demographic, including local swimmers from the Hampstead Heath ponds. Visitors can book individual sessions or reserve the entire site for private groups.
